Our Club
The Lower Hutt Lions Club was chartered in 1960 and today has members that represent a diverse group of men and women. All our members and volunteers take great pleasure from donating their time, knowledge and skills to the many community programmes we support.
Our club helped build some of the local spaces you all know and love. The Avalon Pavilion, a miniature railway and train, and a mini putt facility at Avalon Park are examples of our work. The money we raise goes to many community causes, a number of which can expect to receive a regular annual donation from Lower Hutt Lions.

Your help will make a difference.
We always welcome new members and volunteers from all backgrounds and age groups. There are two main ways to get involved:
As a Member:
- Be part of our team
- Contribute your ideas
- Help drive change
As a Volunteer:
- Support our events
- Lend a hand when needed
- See the difference you make
If you are passionate about helping people and supporting our community, we’d love to hear from you. Please Contact Us by email.
